surprising punch to its suite of flavours, opening and
finishing with a profligate array of red and black berry
and stone fruit flavours that ultimately carry the oak

2011 THE WILD Chardonnay        91 Points James Halliday


Barrel fermentation in French barriques (45% new) with
different yeasts (50% wild) in each barrel, 12 months
stirring followed. A complex wine, but needed a touch
more acidity to clean out the finish.
